This year I will be assigning jobs for each person at a table. Children will have specific roles in which they will be responsible for certain tasks. These are the four jobs that will rotate every other week:

Mission Technician-This child will be responsible for the managing all the materials at the table. They are the only member of the table that may leave their seat. They will distribute any materials needed for the lesson. They will make sure all the materials are put away at cleanup.

Data Expert-This child will be responsible for recording data and oberservations during the mission. All children will be required to record the observations, but they will get this information from the Data Expert.

Mission Reporter-This child will be responsible for sharing the table's findings with the rest of the class at the end of the mission.

Flight Commander-This child will control a timer to make sure the group stays on task. The mission will usually have a 10 minute exploration, 10 minutes to reflect in notebooks, and 5 minutes for clean-up.
